Golfing and dental trip

In October 2010 myself and three colleagues travelled to Hua Hin for our annual golf trip which was excellently organized by Tee Time Thailand. Everything from our airport transfer, hotel, golf courses, club rental and service was to the highest of standards

Before travelling to Hua Hin, I was aware that I needed some dental work carried out including a new crown. As you will understand the costs of such work here in Western Europe is very expensive and thought it may be a good idea to have my teeth repaired while on holiday, providing it would not interfere with my trip. I asked Ulf from Tee Time Thailand could he recommend a dentist as I was obviously nervous to what the standards of dental practices were in Thailand. His recommendation was S-smile Dental Clinic on main street and kindly made an appointment for me on the Monday morning.

I made my way to the clinic for my 9.00am appointment and was met by the owner Dr. Sirinate who was your typical welcoming friendly Thai person. Her clinic was bright, immaculately clean, with all modern dental equipment and her staff were fantastic.

Dr. Sirinate firstly examined my teeth followed by and xray, cleaned, polished them and then took individual pictures of each tooth and showed all to me on the laptop. She then explained the work that needed to be carried out.

In my case the important work needed to be done was the crown. Dr. Sirinate took the gel print of my tooth and inserted a temporary filling until I returned on Friday for my new crown to be fitted. I was so impressed with everything, I decided to return on Wednesday to have three fillings changed from silver to white.

I was delighted to have the full treatment carried out on my teeth while on holidays which meant I didn’t need to make four separate appointments to have the same job done at home.

And of course the cost: For all the work carried out on my teeth it was 50% cheaper than what I would have paid here in Ireland!

I would like to thank Dr. Sirinate and all her staff for the professional, friendly practice that they offer. I would highly recommend the S-smile dental clinic to anyone considering having work carried out on their teeth while on holiday in Hua Hin. During my time in the chair, not once was I uncomfortable or left in pain, which meant my golf trip was not affected.

P.S. I got some of my money back by beating my friends on the golf course!
